Heat wave

High Desert heat is rolling in...temperatures over 100 for the next couple days. I think I need to be on/in water...maybe a canoe adventure is in order.

Oh that sounds fun. We have a sea kayak and we used to take river trips with friends and their canoe.
Have fun!

Sounds like a cold spell for Arizona ;) Actually, I know that's hot for Oregon - my oldest son lives in Portland and just arrived home last night for vacation!

Love those photos - enjoy the water!

Beautiful photos. Stay cool, (a dip in those waters looks like a great way to do it!)

Have fun splashing in the water! Don't forget to drink lots of water too! Gotta keeps your fluids up during crazy hot weather. It seems surreal typing this while I'm wearing a gazillion layers & a beanie & still shivering...

We had a week of that a week ago. Bleah! The weather, not the photos!

Please, tell me that the third photo has been Photoshopped. Please, tell me that there's no way there can be moon so perfect! That picture is just breath-taking! I am a fan of light and shadows (hence my presence on you blog every now and then) and that water scene with the moon shining up high has made my day (or afternoon, it's early evening now in London).

Greetings from London.

I'm not looking forward to this heat wave----YUCK. A canoe trip sounds just perfect... (with a few dips in the water, too)...

The photos are from the Wanderlust Tours website, but I'm 99% sure it isn't photoshopped. It truly is gorgeous here.

Great idea, I am very jealous of your temperatures though. It is August in Boston and I don't think it's cleared 80 yet in the entire month. Love that moon shot!

Absolutely beautiful! I remember seeing a High Desert Museum off the highway, never made the trip there though. Is it something worth seeing next time?
