Replacement textiles are reproduced on looms in the art cabin.
Local stone was used throughout the lodge, at the entrance, surrounding huge fireplaces, spanning doorways.
Massive timbers provide the framework, wooden walls, floors and ceilings provide rustic warmth.

Looks like a wonderful place to stay! Sounds like you had an enjoyable time!
I haven't been there in years, but fondly remember the cozy feel - how romantic. thanks for always encouraging me and checking out my blog - it means a lot to me!
Wow, that is really pretty! Thank you (as usual) for posting pictures I can use for my little mental 'get away' when I read your blog. My mom and step-dad (who passed away 7 years ago) went there when they lived in Oregon and loved it. They did a silly re-enactment of 'The Shining' chase through the snow outside one night with their video camera... people were watching out the windows of the dining room... LOL... such a precious memory of how fun-loving he was...
Wow, I too would enjoy being there. It gives me this home away from home feeling...although my home looks nothing like that. It seems to be quite cozy, is what I meant.
That Lodge is incredible looking. I am also fascinated about the way places are built. It impressive how they even make their own textiles.
Thanks for the link to that blog. Her work is great and just what I need to see right now.
