Sand

One of our walks along Whalen Island. The tide was out, the sand in ripples...

and up close...breathing holes in the sand for whatever is hidden beneath: shrimp or clams...

tiny pink shells...

and deer tracks!

Hm. Even though I don't care for sand, I must admit... this looks pretty nice!

Looks like the sands are a nice place to walk and meditate.

I think the up-close shot of the sand is my favorite.

I love Watership Down! Hope you enjoy it.

Wow! Especially I love the deer tracks and the close up of the sand textures. That one looks like a painting.

Over here, those little holes are made by crabs and those pink shells are so cute. Deer on the beach? How odd...never see them anywhere except in the zoo..

I really love all the cool textures that are left behind, your footprints were also emblazened in the sand becoming part of the experience even if just for a moment. It looks so peaceful and kind of desolate there. It must have been so nice!

Are they really deer tracks? Odd kind of animal to be roaming the beach...
