I received a package from Rachel of Fog and Thistle last week. She sent me a copy of Watership Down since I've never read it. Tucked inside the package was a vintage bingo card and a vintage postcard....so sweet! Thanks.
I spent yesterday in Portland welcoming my great nephew Kai into the family. Here he is with his grandma, my sister Chantele.

Fun surprise you got in the mail! And Kai? Pretty darn cute...your sister DOES NOT look like a grandmother! I thought it was proabably his mom!
Welcome little Kai! I hope you enjoy the book, it's interesting on so many levels.
You'd think pregnancy might have cured me of my usual "oooooh baybeeeeee eeeeeee!" reaction, but actually, it's made it worse. That said...

He is a gorgeous baby, Charmaine! And your sister looks so young to be a grandma. I've never read Watership Down, either. But now I feel like I'm going to need to add it to my list of books to read.
