Sweetness

I received a package from Rachel of Fog and Thistle last week. She sent me a copy of Watership Down since I've never read it. Tucked inside the package was a vintage bingo card and a vintage postcard....so sweet! Thanks.

I spent yesterday in Portland welcoming my great nephew Kai into the family. Here he is with his grandma, my sister Chantele.

I hope you will love Watership Down. It's one of my favorites. I've read it at least 3 times.

You'd think pregnancy might have cured me of my usual "oooooh baybeeeeee eeeeeee!" reaction, but actually, it's made it worse. That said...

And Watership Down was one of my favorite books as a kid. I haven't read it in a long time... going to see if I can find my copy now!

He is a gorgeous baby, Charmaine! And your sister looks so young to be a grandma. I've never read Watership Down, either. But now I feel like I'm going to need to add it to my list of books to read.

Kai sure is a little cutie! What a lovely gift from Rachel! Such a sweetie she is! I haven't read Watership Down either. I've only seen the movie. I don't remember a great deal from the film but I do remember it made me cry :(
