You're it

I've been tagged by Willow to list 6 unspectacular quirks about myself. Here goes:

1. Noise bother me. Even music (still....I've posted this before). I love music, but it makes me agitated these days.

2. I love spicy food....Mexican & Thai.....the hotter, the better.

3. Most of my verbal communication consists of me talking to our cat.

4. My attention span for projects is short. I worked on something today for about 40 minutes before I was too restless to do more.

5. I can play Mary Had a Little Lamb on the piano....on 3 keys. Impressive, isn't it?

6. Living in the middle of nowhere is affecting my social skills. They're slowly dwindling away.

Now that I've astounded everyone with these facts, play along if you'd like. Share.

Well you should take those sic piano playing skills and head out to a local bar to jam with some fellow musicians for that social interaction :) Sadly, even though I am in the city I am feeling your pain on that one these days. The keyboard has become my best friend.

I may just play along this time. Feeling like I want to blog but what to say? Its either this or posting a whole bunch of song lyrics. Hmmm, may just do that too!

Have you considered taking another class? Maybe in Mexican cooking or something like that to literally & figuratively "spice it up"??

I like having background noise when I work...although I do like silence. and I will never understand why people like hot spicy food. I'm either sweet or salty but NEVER spicy Oh and living in the middle of nowhere must be nice. we live in a nice neighborhood and our social skills are shot. go figure. do we "hate" people? maybe hate is too strong. How about.."get along fine without them"

I'm with you on all points except 3 and 6. But that's cuz I live in a house with two boys and a veritable Metropolis. Talking is something I'd rather not do and find myself always doing it!
Thanks for sharing!

lol. I love it. Yay for unspectacular quirks!

Certain noises bother me. Like those darn grates in the middle of the highway in front of my house. People just like to drive down them.

My verbal communication consists of me talking to myself. My cat won't talk to me.

And, I have long since given up my social skills.

I'm with you on the attention span. It's amazing I get anything done.

I love your quirks!! Thanks for playing! It's always fun to get to know my bloggies better. I know what you mean about restlessness. I used to be able to sit down and read a book in one afternoon. Is it old age?! I hate it!

Your picture is absolutely gorgeous, Charmaine! I love it!

yeah. my attention span is a bit short as well when working on projects. i just get tired of looking at the same thing sometimes. then there are the times when i'll be working, think of some random thing i *need* to look up online, leave my work, and end up web surfing for an hour or so.

oh and despite taking a piano class, still the only think i can really play on the piano is twinkle twinkle star, and i'm so proud of that. ha!

Jenn,

Believe me, I've been looking for a class to take. Just need to wrap my mind around the fact that I will have to drive 30 miles each way to do so.

Not quite up for that yet...

Awww hun! I know how moving can change your social life, I am currently feeling the same effects.

We should try and meet in the middle one of these days.

Oh, p.s. I recently discovered that I LOVE thai food as well...

All these years i've been going to chinese, and leaving disapointed, because what I want is fresh cooked veggies, not battered and fried. Thai food, is absolutely yummy!

Always love to find out these small details - You know what? I don't live in the middle of nowhere and my social skills are dwindling too. Really looking forward to seeing you soon at Barnhouse!

I live in the NYC metro area, and sometimes questions my social skills. Most days it's kids, cats and the net.

Hey pretty lady!

We have so much in common. We could be best buds...y'know *if* we had social skills.

I may try this if I can narrow down my unspectacularness to just 6things.

Oh you're too funny! This was a fun list! Don't worry too much about your social skills dwindling away. When people start talking to you when you are out & about, pretend that you're non-verbal. Just wave your hands wildly like you're doing crazy signing & all will be forgiven. Works especially well on annoying shop assistants! I LOVE spicy food too! If you ever visit Australia I'll cook you yummy Mexican. You won't even have to talk to me if it's all too hard. I'm good with silence ;)
