Tag

I was tagged by India to use the letters of my middle name
to list random information about me.

Y ~
young….in my mind anyway. I don’t feel much older than 25

N ~ named after my father (middle name, his was Lynn)

who abandoned my mother and sister and I in the first year of my life

I'm the baby

E ~ empathetic…I tend to have a ready comprehension of others’ feelings

T ~
tall…at 5’10”, I’m taller than most women my age

T ~
terrible at math…makes my brain hurt

whaaa???

E ~ euphoric (still!) that Bush is out of the White House

~~~~~~~~~~
I also received an award from Cecile for
my 'beauty-all-around-us attitude'.
Thank you!
Staying young in your mind is how to stay young in your body! Sorry to hear that you're lonely up in the desert. Wouldn't a bloggers meetup just be a blast?
I long for that solitude...makes me think more, but what would we do without our internet...OH THE HORROR!!!
What a beautiful post. I can only imagine how tough your father's leaving had to be on your mother, your sister and you. His great loss. I get the loneliness as well, as I live in a small rural area surrounded by the most unbelievably conservative people on the face of the earth. I simply do not fit in here. Also, I stink at math and have a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact I am not in my twenties, too!
Thank you, Diva, for your honesty in revealing things about yourself to us we couldn't have otherwise known. I feel like I'm slowly unwrapping these new frienships in Blogdom. Lovely! (I adore your Einstein pic. He's one of my favorites!)
From pain comes great compassion.
On-line friendships are lovely, but I hope you find-some like-minded souls closer to home as well.
Thanks for sharing!
This was a lovely insight into your character.
Your father looks charming.
So strange when someone is missing from your life.
Yes, we're still thrilled to bits here to be rid of Bush.
He seems to have demolished the country and then just wandered off.
Who´s Bush? Charmaine, you did such a lovely job of sharing in this tag. It´s strange and wonderful how blogging connects us to others and to ourselves. Do you remember my post "Love is all around us?"...that´s like your award...the terms love and beauty can be interchanged so easily...you sure deserve that award!
Congrats on the award!
This tag is different; nice. 5'10-you ladies of the blogosphere are tall, huh? I just found out Cecile was 6'0. Yowza!
Congrats on the award! I am sorry you are lonely. I hope that that will change soon for you. On the upside it is wonderful to be surrounded by these folks you've met through blogs. I hate math too.
Don't feel bad about the math...it makes my brain hurt too!!
I never did get math. Delightful post! :)
Sounds like your mom was one great gal to have raised all of you ladies into the fine and compassionate women you are today! She is a rock star and so are you :) Rock stars do not need to know complex math so I'd say you're all set :)
Kudos on the award!
Gosh Charmaine...maybe I should be phoning all the time. Maybe you'd feel less lonely and more annoyed! lol:)
I was thinking how handsome your father looked till I scrolled down and saw he abandoned you?! What was he thinking! I'm mad at him for you!!
Empathetic, tallish, terrible at math (so bad my 7th grade math teacher...when I saw him a couple of years ago...hadn't seen him in 40 years! Asked me, while we were standing in line at Walmart...if I was still having trouble with it!?! Sad but true! What a memory that guy has!)and euphoric...me too! See we should have lots to talk about! ;)
Congrats on your award!
Nice little "nuggets" here. I'm phobic about math - always have been.
And I am euphoric as well for the same reason as you!
I've been a blog-slug the last few days, and I've missed a TON round here. I'll be back to comment some more though.
I love the insight from this post though. Loverly!
love this tagging exercise- and the great photos- I am still with you about the fact that Bush is out of the White House- Cheney clearly is having withdrawals with his whacked verbal message of fear!! ps I enjoy your blog a lot and put a little post together about it yesterday! a gem ,really thanks for sharing!!
