And just like a typical SAHM, I'm thinking "...ooohh...doesn't the dust bunnies get into those uncovered jars too...". Sorry! this happens when there's too much housework waiting for me! Lovely, jars, lovely idea.

How fun are these? I want to poke my nose right in those jars and see what goodies are hiding, xv.

It's like a great treasure jar! My mom has a jar like that filled with marbles, my kids love exploring it. They would have even more fun with yours.

That last one looks like a big candy jar I've been eyeing.

My first thought upon seeing these jars was, "Wouldn't those be fun for grandchildren to explore?!" I like that they are contained and dust-free. (It's all about the allergies....)

Great idea for random sewing goodies - all corralled together and within arm's reach.

I'm a neat person, living with a packrat who likes his stuff out where he can see it all. This causes some internal stress for me, as I'm loathe to tell him what to do with his own stuff - I don't want him to turn around and tell me what to do with my own!

I like this idea - next time I'm at the thrift shop, I'm going to look for jars. I think Marble Man would be OK with it. He'd still be able to see his things, and I won't have to dust them each week! Win-win...

I have jars of buttons and spools of thread and made my junk lamp filled with junk but never thought to take it a step further and add jars with all kinds of what not around the house. Thanks for sharing this idea!! Love it!!
(My junk lamp sold so I need to make one for myself.)

I have an identical glass jar with a lid...it was a terrarium I made last summer that didn't make it. I washed it out and it sat empty for a few weeks while I comtemplated what to put in it. It's in my kitchen, so I was thinking "food". I put pretzels in it...but I have many more plans for it as the weeks go by...check it out at www.thetreatgirl.blogspot.com
