Photo opportunities were everywhere in Italy...
architecture, crowds of tourists,
frescos and icons,
to the simplicity of wooden pews.
Don't forget to look up!
I had never seen shutters that hinged up like this.
to classical statues and iron gates.
Italy !

This brings me back many (gah...15!) years to my semester abroad. Pining now...
What a trip, I can just lose myself in the history there...but the tourists...argh...
Love the shutters too...cool!
You really got some great shots! Digital cameras are such a blessing - they give us the opportunity to go for it and take pictures galore since there's no film to pay to be developed. I've made a habit of keeping my camera in my purse - I even take it along to the grocery store, just in case...
Don't you just love those shutters?...xv
Clever shutters: sun stays out, air comes in...
I really want to go to Italy!
Loving those shutters, too.
Great shots, thanks for sharing part of your trip with us.
Peace, Judi
oh my gosh, those pews are beautiful!!
♥
The frescos and architecture just amaze me not to mention the age of most of them! It is so wonderful that they preserve what they have for all of us to enjoy. Always love to see your pictures!
