Italy....random photos

Photo opportunities were everywhere in Italy...

architecture, crowds of tourists,

frescos and icons,

to the simplicity of wooden pews.

Don't forget to look up!

I had never seen shutters that hinged up like this.

The domed architecture of the Baptistry of St. John in Pisa

to classical statues and iron gates.

Italy !

You really got some great shots! Digital cameras are such a blessing - they give us the opportunity to go for it and take pictures galore since there's no film to pay to be developed. I've made a habit of keeping my camera in my purse - I even take it along to the grocery store, just in case...

Clever shutters: sun stays out, air comes in...

The frescos and architecture just amaze me not to mention the age of most of them! It is so wonderful that they preserve what they have for all of us to enjoy. Always love to see your pictures!
