Environmental design

Designer Michelle Brand uses the bottoms of recycled plastic bottles to create works of art.

The image, via Recyclart, fits the shadow shot theme

"To me every hour of the light and dark is a miracle,
Every cubic inch of space is a miracle."

~ Walt Whitman

I love it, I think my daughter is finally getting the idea about recycling, though she's lived with it all her life with me harping...we just need to keep spreading the word...right!

The elegance of the lace panel is for all to see. Combined with the plant in the window, the shadow is organic looking and exquisite as well. Not the heft of the shadow that makes it look so nice, but the delicate pose on the window sahs. Excellent capture!

Does it work with wine bottles?

They look like flowers. A beautiful window treatment and eco-friendly, too.

I'd love that window shade? cover? I'm going over to Recyclart to see if I can figure out how it's done! Thank you! :)

Looks like a very pleasant place to sit and read a book. Such a mix of soft and dark shadows cast by the filtering sunlight.

OMG! I love that curtain and Michelle's work!! Thank you for the link. I wonder how she cuts everything so uniformly and perfect? Fabulous lighting on that too, BTW.

Very nice. I like the sameness of color, then a bright green plant on the right. Nice!
