Windstorm

We're having an epic windstorm....which begs the question...
Why don't we have wind turbines here to harness all this energy?

"No one but Night, with tears on her dark face,
Watches beside me in this windy place."

~ Edna St. Vincent Millay

Crazy wind has brought us snow...

"Lo. sifted through the winds that blow,
Down comes the soft and silent snow,
White petals from the flowers that grow
In the cold atmosphere."

~ George W. Bungay

hmm, in very high winds wind turbines need to be switched off because otherwise they can become dangerous ..... you need good dependable regular winds for wind turbines.

Nothing like a good storm to get you in the mood for the holidays! We're still waiting for our first measurable rain since last April...

The wind was crazy last night! I was a little scared it would blow a tree onto our house! Your snow is pretty :)

Good morning Lisa .... I also awakened around 2:30 this morning. I keep the curtains covering a wall of windows in my bedroom and to the lower deck open. I couldn't believe my eyes! It was like daylight with the snow, the sky looked like it normally does around 8am! It was beautiful in a magical, mystical sort of way.
