Afternoon sunlight dances through window glass,
casting a shadow on Mark's Charlie Brown tree
Swift as a shadow, short as any dream;
Brief as the lightning in the collied night,
That in a spleen unfolds both heaven and earth,
And ere a man hath power to say, "Behold!"
The jaws of darkness do devour it up:
So quick bright things come to confusion.

"Out of the night that covers me
Black as a pit from pole to pole" I come to say great post
Oh, I like this so much. The soft shadows combined with the brisk outlines of the tree. The bit of repeated color, the way the window muttins divide the piece.
lovely light effects in this photo...
this is a terrific shadow shot!
The shadows are big, bold and lovely. As stout as the shadowy sash is on the wall, they don't overpower Charlie Brown's simple tree. Happily, Charlie did understand the reason for Christmas at the end - it wasn't the too commercial holiday, it was his simple tree . A nice sentiment!
wonderful shadow. i love the tree. ;-)

Lovely shot! I clicked on the Charlie Brown tree link, and wow! Mark did a beautiful job of that tree!

Love how the shadows create multiple frames for the fragments of light! Beautiful!

Now, that is a very deep, dark shadow! But peaceful too.
Wow. That's beautiful!
It's so realistic I think I might try to water it.
